Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and MyVirtualRace Ltd ("MVR", "we", "us"), a company based in the United Kingdom. By creating an account or using MVR you agree to them. Please also read our Privacy Policy.

• You must be at least 13. If you are under 18, you need permission from a parent or guardian.
• Give accurate details and keep your password safe. You are responsible for activity on your account.
• One person per account. Tell us straight away if you think your account has been misused.

MVR lets you create and join virtual fitness races, log or sync activities, compete on leaderboards, earn trophies and share results. We may add, change or remove features, and we do not guarantee the service will always be available or error-free.

You agree not to:

• log false, inflated or duplicated activities, or otherwise cheat;
• harass, abuse, threaten or impersonate others, or post hateful, illegal or explicit content;
• send spam or unsolicited invites;
• try to hack, overload, scrape or reverse-engineer the service.

Race owners and MVR may adjust or remove activities, results or participants to keep races fair.

You own the photos, messages and other content you add. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display and share it as needed to run MVR (for example on leaderboards and share cards). You must have the rights to anything you upload. We may remove content that breaks these terms.

• Some features need a paid plan or a one-off purchase. The price and what is included are shown before you buy.
• Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the current billing period.
• Purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play are also governed by their terms, and refunds for those are handled by Apple or Google.
• Your statutory rights as a UK consumer are not affected.

MVR is a motivation tool, not medical advice. Check with a doctor before starting a new exercise programme. Exercise safely, follow local laws and be aware of your surroundings. You take part at your own risk.

If you connect services such as Fitbit, their own terms apply. We are not responsible for third-party services or for the accuracy of data they send us.

The MVR name, logo, designs, trophies and software belong to MyVirtualRace Ltd. You may use them only as part of using the service, for example by sharing your own share cards.

You can stop using MVR and ask us to delete your account at any time by emailing hello@myvirtualrace.com. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put other users or the service at risk.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise, we are not liable for losses that were not foreseeable, or for business losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

We may update these terms. We will change the "last updated" date and, for significant changes, tell you in advance by email or in the app. Continuing to use MVR means you accept the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will be handled by the courts of England and Wales, although if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring claims in your local courts.
